Cooler and drier weather is draining down into the Bay area. Mid 60s overnight, upper 50s north. Highs in lower 80s much the week with lower humidity. Climatologically, we're getting back to average after record breaking heat last week.
A weak cold front has moved over the Tampa Bay region and headed south. The front will stall over southern Florida through Tuesday. A wedge of cool air is in place over northern Florida. As it drains southward, it may kick off a few showers Tuesday, 20% chance. Otherwise, only isolated sprinkles in the forecast.
We'll see average, 81 degrees or slightly above average temperatures this week with overnight lows ranging from lower to mid 60s. Areas along the Nature Coast can expect slightly cooler temps this week.
A subtropical system maybe forming in the central Atlantic some 550 miles east-southeast of Bermuda. it will not be a threat to us or the U.S. Right now the disturbed area is merely a non-tropical gale center. As it begins to move it will head northwestward and eventually north. It could be named Subtropical Storm Ida.
Enjoy!
