
Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a fire Saturday afternoon at Pollos Pucalor on N. Armenia Avenue.
After arriving at the scene, fire crews reported heavy smoke coming from the single story building. It took the crews nearly 45 mintues to get the smoky blaze under control.
Fortunately, all restaurant workers and customers and owner, Olmer Puentes, had already exited safely.
An investigator from the Tampa Fire Marshals Office says the accidental grease fire started in the rotisserie cooker. The estimated cost of damage is $175,000. The restaurant will remain closed until the repairs are made.
No injuries were reported.
