WASHINGTON (AP) -- Nuclear stalemates are expected to dominate Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's trip to Europe and Asia.
Clinton's first stop, however, pays tribute to one of history's breakthroughs -- the dismantling of the Berlin Wall. She'll be in Germany to mark 20 years since the opening of the wall, the symbolic end of the Cold War.
Developments in negotiations over North Korea and Iran' nuclear programs are expected in the coming days, since Clinton will be at events with German, Russian, French and British leaders. U.S. officials say Iran will be a prime topic of conversation.
International patience is running out and U.S. officials say they expect the UN nuclear watchdog will give up hope Iran will accept a deal to ship uranium abroad for further enrichment.
Clinton will later travel to Singapore for talks about getting North Korea to return to stalled disarmament talks.
