Lakeland, Florida - Rob Curry doesn't believe in God.
"There isn't any way to distinguish any God from make-believe," said Curry, the President of the Atheists of Florida. He says he isn't trying to change other people's minds, but he is hoping to reach others like him with a billboard that reads: Don't believe in God? You are not alone. www.AtheistsofFlorida.org
"It's a way of helping to build a secular community of reason," said Curry. The billboard was placed this month on the eastbound side of Memorial Boulevard near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, in Lakeland.
Johntay Smith, who lives in Lakeland not far from the billboard says she was disturbed by the sign. "It's not right and they need to take it down," said Smith.
The billboard will remain up for 75 days.
