Tampa, Florida -- The new All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg is set to open on December 12th. The newly constructed, 10-story hospital at 6th Avenue South from 4th Street to 6th Street has 259 licensed beds, most in individual rooms.

The hospital and related facilities cost $403 million to build and is the largest commercial construction project in Florida, according to a press release issued by the hospital.

The hospital houses the Bayfront Baby Place Birthing Center and also includes the 97-bed Guild Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which makes it one of the largest ICU units in the southeastern United States. Other units include the Vincent Lecavalier Center for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Walmart & Sam's Club Pediatric Emergency Center.

On Saturday, November 21st, there will be a free community preview celebration that will include family entertainment and activities, as well as a chance to see the new facility. Public tours will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Those interested are asked to reserve a space, according to the press release.

All Children's plans to relocate to the new facility from its existing location on December 12th.
