Tampa, Florida -- Police have charged a babysitter with scalding her 20-month-old godson in a bathtub.

Gladiesha Foster, 19, of 11314 North 52nd Street was taken to jail and held without bond on a charge of aggravated child abuse.

Tampa police said she intentionally placed the baby into a bathtub with hot running water until the child received what doctors at Tampa General Hospital called extreme 2nd degree burns on his feet and buttocks.

Police said she was the baby's godmother and a family friend.
