ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (AP) -- Authorities have apprehended a man they believe robbed a St. Petersburg bank.
Authorities have charged 53-year-old Thomas John Castro with armed robbery in connection to the incident. Online records state that Castro also faces a drug charge and is being held on bond in Pinellas County jail. It is unclear if he already has an attorney.

According to a news release, police believe Castro walked into a bank branch Thursday afternoon and gave a teller a note that said he was armed and would harm her if she did not give him money.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, Castro fled and was later seen on a public transit bus. The money contained a dye pack, which later exploded inside his jacket.
