Tampa, Florida - 15 passengers, mainly teens, riding back from a cheerleading competition were hurt when their van flipped over Sunday afternoon on I-275 near the Lois exit.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident around
1:00 p.m. Troopers say the teens are with the Junior Football League and were heading back from a competition in Lakeland when the back tire blew out, causing the van to flip.

The van was being driven by 22 year old Carlisa Wilson. Troopers say based on preliminary information Wilson lost control when the back rear tire blew out. She slammed into the concrete barrier wall and then the van overturned.

All 16 people inside the van were injured. Half of them were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital the others went to Tampa General Hospital. Most of the passengers were teens.

None of their injuries appear to be life threatening.
