Clearwater, Florida - The holidays are here and if you order a catered meal from the Venue, you not only make your family happy, you help feed another Bay area family.
The Venue on Ulmerton in Clearwater has teamed up with Metropolitan Ministries by providing Christmas dinners.
For every catered meal the Venue sells, they will donate that same meal to metropolitan ministries. We are talking turkey, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, you name it.
Ana Mendez, the community relations manager of metropolitan ministries says this is a great way for them to help feed all the families in need. "With a tough economy we are seeing more families this year then we have in the past."
Executive Chef Rob Uzzillia, and part owner of the Venue says they thought this would be just one way they could give back. He says, "When we heard Metropolitan ministries ran out of food during Thanksgiving, they knew they had to do something."
Again, for each catered meal ordered from the Venue, they donate that same meal. The dinner sells for $84.95. And can be picked up December 23 or 24.
The Venue is also donating $1 from every holiday drink they sell to the Kids Charity of Tampa Bay.
