St. Petersburg, Florida -- Have you noticed an odd odor wafting across the Bay Area?
If you have, you're not alone.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection says it's been getting widespread reports since Monday afternoon of a smell similar to kerosene or an electrical fire.
At this point, they can't say for sure what it is, but there are a few possibilities including the oil spill and wildfires burning in Central America.
Air samples taken on Monday are being tested right now to find out what's in the air in the Bay Area. Results are due back by Thursday.
