Tampa, Florida -- A Hillsborough judged sentenced Rosanna DiMauro to 10 years in prison, followed by five years probation for her role in the stabbing and burning death of Robert Brewer last year.
Investigators say she cleaned up the crime scene at the Brandon Manor Court apartments to hide the murder.
"I cannot understand why you, a mother of more than one child, a young man and a toddler can stand by and allow this to happen and do nothing about it," said a tearful Sandra Colicci, Brewer's mother during the morning sentencing.
Brewer met DiMauro and the three other suspects at Westfield Brandon Mall before going to a party at the suspects' apartment.
Investigators say DiMauro's boyfriend, 21-year-old Kasey Lee Ackerman and 21-year-old Brendan Terry stabbed Brewer in the neck after he hit on her.
When they discovered he hadn't died from the stab wounds, investigators say he was stabbed again and then stuffed into his duffle bag before being thrown into an outside trash bin and lit on fire.
34-year-old Randy Allan Morris is also facing first degree murder and armed kidnapping charges in this case.
DiMauro's son, David James Link II is also charged in this case as an accessory after the fact, just like his mother.
