San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Nando De Colo finished with 11 points,
including a tie-breaking jumper with less than a second remaining to send the
San Antonio Spurs to a 101-99 victory over the Atlanta Hawks in preseason
action on Wednesday.
De Colo added nine assists, while Josh Powell led the way with 14 points for
the Spurs, who were playing without stars Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim
Duncan.
Damion James and Mike Scott each poured in 11 points and Lou Williams, who the
Hawks signed as a free agent in the offseason, donated 10 points for Atlanta,
which lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs last
season.
Trailing by three with less than 10 seconds remaining, Scott buried a 3-
pointer to knot the game at 99, but after a timeout, De Colo connected on a
jumper at the other end to send the Spurs to victory.
