Toddler hit by fragment in Pensacola shooting

Pensacola, Florida (PNJ.com)-- A toddler was hospitalized Wednesday after shots were fired at a Warrington apartment complex, authorities said.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office was called to Forest Creek Apartments on Patton Drive near Navy Boulevard shortly before 5:10 p.m.

Investigators said a fragment wounded the toddler. The child was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital. The Sheriff's Office said the injuries are not life threatening.

Detectives are searching for two male suspects.
