MANATEE, Florida (AP) — Manatee County authorities say an 18-month-old boy drowned when he climbed in an inflatable swimming pool.
Sheriff officials say a babysitter went to visit a neighbor and left the boy unattended yesterday evening.
His parents were working at the time.
A sheriff spokesman says another child found the boy and ran next door to tell an adult.
Authorities estimate the boy was under water for about ten minutes.
An investigation continues.
