Tampa, Florida -- The man who stepped in front of an officer's car early Saturday has been identified.
Randolph McClendon was hit by a TPD officer who was driving eastbound on Martin Luther Kind Boulevard. Reportedly, at 34th Street McClendon either jumped or stepped in front of the patrol car.
McClendon was reported missing by his family as he had dementia and wandered away from home. After he was reported missing, officers determined he was the pedestrian involved in the crash.
