Tampa, Florida -- A local woman was awarded the highest award given by the American Red Cross for saving her fiancé's life.
Tracie Ichter was in her home with her now fiancé, Thomas Gohn Jr., when he suffered a massive heart attack. The CPR training she received in college kicked in and she was able to save his life.
Ichter was awarded the American Red Cross Certificate of Merit, the highest award given by the American Red Cross.
The certificate even bears the signature of the President of the United States - the honorary chairman of the American Red Cross.
