Brandon, Florida - Hillsborough County deputies say they've got the man who shot into a carload of teenagers, killing one of them.
Leland Johnson, 19, is charged with first degree murder in the death of 16 year old Christine Veltri.
Deputies say Johnson and two others were planning on robbing someone in the parking lot of the Sterling Palms Apartments. Johnson told detectives that he got upset with the victims when they wouldn't let him use a cell phone. That's when he fired six times into the vehicle.
Johnson was arrested on Wednesday and detectives found the vehicle used in the shooting yesterday at Riverview High School.
Authorities say the vehicle belonged to an acquaintance of Johnson's.
