Orlando, Florida - It was one year ago that a young woman who grew up in the Bay area was last seen in Orlando.
Drew and Joyce Kesse from Bradenton are back in Orlando for the first anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.
Jennifer Kesse, then 24-years-old, was reported missing when she didn’t show up for work January 24th 2006.
Her car was found two days later in a parking lot near her home. A person of interest seen near Kesse’s car has never been identified.
- Drew Kesse, Jennifer’s Father:
- “It rips me apart as a father to know that every night when that sun goes down, y’know somebody has her out there or, she’s passed from us. Someone did what they needed to do and got rid of her. It’s very difficult but I would never thought we’d be here a year, no.”
Kesse's parents say Jennifer's purse, credit cards and cell phone have never been found.
They'll hold a prayer vigil at 5:00 Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church on John Young Parkway in Orlando.
Orlando police say Jennifer Kesse's disappearance is an on-going and active investigation
