Tampa, Florida - Tampa Police arrested a Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver in Ybor city Saturday night.

Officers with the department's "Q.U.A.D." squad, say they smelled burning marijuana coming from a Chevy Tahoe parked in a lot at East 8th Avenue and North 20th Street.

Inside the SUV, they say they found NFL player Charles Sharon, 23, behind the wheel, and underneath his seat, a stolen gun.

Passenger Jebidiah Crawford, 21, reportedly had loose marijuana on his lap.

Officers searched the SUV and say they found more marijuana in a Jacksonville Jaguars duffel bag, which the passenger claimed was his.

Sharon was charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

Crawfordwas charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Tampa police reported that the Glock Model 27 handgun was stolen last year from a federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent in Putnam County, but an ATF spokesman said today that the weapon belonged to an agent of the state Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco.

But spokeswoman Kristen Ploska said today that it was not registered to anyone in that agency either.
