7/7/07 proves lucky in love

Tampa – Ask a wedding coordinator in Tampa and they will tell you July is traditionally a very slow month.

Georgia Watson, Wedding Coordinator:

“Last year I actually had no July weddings on the books.”

But what a difference a year makes.

“I have a very full July this year and I probably could have booked July 7^th, ten times.”

In fact, the Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach this year has 4 weddings, plus an anniversary party booked for July 7^th, a big number for any day of the year. The reason for the popularity is the date, 7/7/07.

“It's a good luck date, of course brides that were very superstitious were attracted to the date and it's also the very last date in the century that you are going to have those 3 numbers together.”

Plus, July 7^th this year falls on a Saturday which is also the most popular day of the week for weddings.
