Charlotte, NC - Tampa Bay is on top of the NFC South after a 20-7 win over Carolina. Jeff Garcia led the way for the Bucs by running for a touchdown on the Bucs' first drive of the game. Garcia scrambled and was looking to throw the ball to fullback B.J. Askew, put he kept it instead and ran into the endzone for his first rushing touchdown of the season. In the second half, the defense took over. In the fourth quarter, Jermaine Phillips had his second pick in as many weeks.
Then a few minutes later, Patrick Chukwurah racked up his first sack as a Buccaneer. He was playing in his first game for the team. It was one of three sacks on the day for Tampa Bay.
