Bradenton, Florida - A Bradenton man has been arrested for the sexually battery of a young girl.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says it arrested 40-year-old Kelley P. McDermid on Wednesday.
Detectives say since 2004, McDermid had sexual intercourse several times with an 8-year-old girl. The girl is now 12.
During the course of the investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest and charge the suspect with five counts of Capital Sexual Battery, 10 counts of Sexual Battery and one count of Lewd & Lascivious Molestation.
