Plant City, Florida - Zoah Surrency and her husband Paul are at a loss to explain what happened to their adopted son. They haven't seen or heard from 27-year-old Ryan in more than a month.
“But we've had absolutely no call, no trace. It's as though everything ceased February the 29th," said Zoah Surrency, the missing man’s mother.
The Surrencys say Ryan was last seen leaving his job at a Wal-Mart store in Plant City about 11:30 the night of February 29th.
A store surveillance camera saw Surrency drive away in his dark blue 1991 Honda Accord without interacting with anyone in the parking lot. But he left work early.
"We were told at Wal-Mart by a fellow employee that he had been let go that night because he left the premises on break ,because he left to get him something to eat and then come back," said Surrency.
But neither the Surrencys nor Plant City Police have any clue what happened to Ryan after he left Wal-Mart. Zoah says Ryan is a father to two young children and would not have just taken off.
"And he was a very hands-on Dad, the children were his world," said Surrency.
The Surrencys say their son had several thousand dollars cash on him and they fear the worst.
"Just concerned that maybe somebody saw money in his wallet and... you know how it is these days," said Surrency.
The Surrencys hope someone remembers seeing their son Ryan. They say their son hasn't made any payments or touched his bank account since he disappeared.
If you have any information about Ryan Surrency, call Plant City police at 813-757-9200.
