The Animal Coalition of Tampa Spay-Neuter Clinic performed its 10,000th Spay/Neuter surgery today.
Vets performed Zulu's surgery for free this morning. His owner also gets a year's supply of food from Science Diet and a gift basket from Groovy Cats and Dogs.
In a little more than two years, the clinic reached that 10,000 mark by performing more than 100 surgeries a week.
The ACT clinic charges between $40 and $95 for a spay or neuter. For low income Hillsborough County residents who qualify, the cost is $10 through the county's voucher program. They also offer monthly specials. This month: They're offering a free microchip with every surgery.
