Pepsi helps local vets through Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay

Tampa, Florida - Around 100 volunteers from Pepsi gathered Saturday to repair Liberty Manor a home for sixteen disabled veterans in Tampa.

Liberty Manor for Veterans is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide housing to honorably-discharged veterans who have served our country but have fallen victims to homelessness. Founded in 2006, Liberty Manor I, currently houses 16 disabled military veterans ages 28 - 83, and proudly boasts a representative of every war and major conflict since World War II.

The Pepsi volunteers helped with everything from interior and exterior painting, carpet installation, fence repairs, patio screening, and landscaping of the home in addition to energy efficiency improvements.

This project was lead by the Pepsi Bottling Group Foundation, they have built a strong culture of community service where employees can make a lasting, and unique difference in a personal and meaningful way.

This project was coordinated by Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, a local non-profit that provides home repair services to low income families, the elderly, military veterans, and persons with disabilities in the Tampa Bay Area.

The focus of Rebuilding Together's work is to make homes safer, healthier and more energy efficient for their owners.

Rebuilding Together provides an array of home rehabilitation services including emergency services, home repairs, home improvements or modifications, weather-proofing and barrier removal.
