Land O'Lakes, Fl. - Georgia Watson has looked over more swatches of linen than she can count. She lives in Pasco County but plans weddings all over the Tampa Bay area. And she specializes in elaborate weddings.
"I've had platinum weddings before for couples that have brought in 200 guests and have spent about 200 dollars per person for the governor I can only imagine what he's end up spending on his family and friends," said Georgia Watson, owner of Weddings By Georgia.
We asked Watson about what might be involved in planning a wedding for the Governor of Florida. She says a lot of that will be up to Charlie Crist and his fiancée Carole Rome.
"Usually it's the bride that has the whole vision of what she wants on her wedding day and that's a very important thing for me to find out is what's she's dreamed since she was this big," said Watson.
From choosing inviting invitations to picking out the perfect chairs, Watson says a wedding planner will work with the Governor and his bride to be in making lots of decisions about their special day, December 12th, 2008.
"So with that in mind, I would ask are we doing the holiday theme," said Watson.
And while Watson knows the state's first couple will have all kinds of choices to make in the next few months, she's prepared to help them with one major decision, selecting a wedding planner.
"I'm actually open on December 12th, Charlie call me," said Watson.
Governor Crist and Carole Rome got engaged July 3rd. The couple met less than a year ago.
