ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) ? An Orange County circuit judge has declared a mistrial after a defendant pulled out a razor and slit his wrist during testimony.

The sheriff's office says 34-year-old Carlos Molina cut about 6 inches of his left wrist Monday during his trial for an armed robbery case. Judge Bob LeBlanc excused the jury after Molina started to bleed.

Paramedics responded and Molina was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. His condition was not known.

Authorities say the defendant arrived at the courthouse in shackles with jail-issued clothing. Under standard procedure, he was allowed to change clothes and was patted down before entering the courtroom. It is unclear how Molina was able to get the razor in the building.
