Winter Haven, Florida - The newest and cutest resident of Cypress Gardens in Polk County, makes her public debut this weekend.

Mahina is a baby albino wallaby. She climbed out of her mother's pouch earlier than expected and is now ready to meet her adoring fans.

Mahina will be at Cypress Garden's Animal Outpost Shop for a brief appearance at 1:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Patrons will be able to photograph her and pet her tail.

The name "Mahina" means "moon" in Hawaiian and was the winning suggestion of Carol Wolfe of Winter Garden who competed with hundreds of others to name the baby wallaby.
