
Jacksonville - A woman stood up on a date was charged with intent to defraud after she says her dinner partner failed to show up.
According to a police report, Marie Madrid had a dinner date scheduled at Kan Ki Japanese Steakhouse Sunday. The report states Madrid called her late dinner date and the man told her to order food.
Madrid says her date never arrived and she couldn't afford the $36.79 bill.
She told the restaurant she would pay the next day, but the restaurant would not budge.
Police charged Madrid with obtaining food with intent to defraud and she was given a notice to appear.
