Kansas City, MO-- You've got to love the ingenuity of college students. Cary Silverman is a senior at a college in Kansas City. He's been a salesman most of his life. After all, he started his first business, a lawn-mowing business, when he was 9 years old.
His latest development? Alcohol-flavored popcorn.
Cary calls it "pub-corn". He got the idea watching fellow college students sneak alcohol into a theater, to drink with their popcorn. He started by soaking corn kernals in a fifth of Evan Williams whiskey. Next, he poked a little hole in a microwave bag, and injected the whiskey in there. Finally, he found a company that helped him produce a non-alcoholic, alcohol flavoring. Pina Colada popcorn is a favorite, but you can get beer-flavored popcorn, too.
Cary will graduate in May with a degree in business marketing. For more information on alcohol-flavored popcorn, click here
