Student missing in Clearwater found

Clearwater, Florida -- UPDATE: Clearwater Police say 19-year-old Nefertari Blanks has been found safe.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 19-year-old special needs student who has been reported missing.

Nefertari Blanks has not been seen since he was dropped off about 1:40 p.m. at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Seminole Street, police said. He had been at classes at Pinellas Technical Education Center earlier in the day. Blanks lives in a a group home on Sunset Point Drive.

Blanks is described as 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has short hair, is clean shaven, and was last seen wearing a red polo-type shirt and khaki pants. He also had red shoes and a backpack.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Clearwater police at 727-562-4242.
