Tampa airport to absorb many flights impacted by Hurricane Matthew

Tampa International Airport has absorbed many flights redirected from closed airports.

Tampa, Florida - We're monitoring flights in and out of Tampa International Airport due to Hurricane Matthew. Orlando International Airport shut down Thursday at 8 p.m. and TIA is absorbing many of its flights.

Friday morning there were 6 canceled departing flights to Boston, Dallas Love Field, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. There was only one canceled flight arriving from Ft. Lauderdale. That could change though throughout the day.

Across the state Jacksonville International Airport and Miami International Airport are still open but the airports do have some cancelations and delays.
