Tampa overnight shooting sends one to hospital

Tampa, Florida -- A crash was followed by gunshots early Sunday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m. the suspect was removed from the Till Dawn Bottle Club on Dale Mabry Highway. He got in his black Challenger and drove away. The victim, Alexander Sierra, was driving on Dale Mabry when he was rear ended by the suspect in his Challenger. The suspect continued to drive and Sierra followed him.

The suspect eventually lost control of his car and struck a wall next to a convenience store on Himes where he exited the car. At this point a third car also stopped next to the suspect. Shots were fired by the victim and the driver of the third car.

Sierra was hit by gunfire and transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. The driver of the Challenger has not been located.
