Taste of Pinellas back with some changes

St. Petersburg, Fl – A 26-year- old tradition in St. Petersburg is back.

After a year break, Taste of Pinellas takes place this weekend with some changes. Instead of All Children's Hospital organizing the event, Bill Edwards Presents is staging the festival and has a new venue.

"Taste of Pinellas is back—all new location, at Albert Whitted Park this year—two days of incredible music," says Scott Schecter of Bill Edwards Presents.

Bands playing during the two-day festival are: Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Loverboy, The Blues Brothers starring Dan Aykroyd & Jim Belushi, KC & the Sunshine Band.

But of course "Taste" is in the festival's name, so a host of area restaurants are participating.

Taste of Pinellas benefits All Children's Hospital and money raised goes to patient care and equipment. "This helps ensure when those very sick children come through our doors we can care for them," says hospital spokesman Roy Adams.
