Therapist arrested for lewd conduct with teen

Venice, Florida -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office today arrested Venice man for molesting a girl who previously lived in a therapeutic foster home that he ran with his then-wife.

The girl, who was 14 when the crimes began, recently told a case worker that Harvey Dorey, was a "pedophile." The case worker asked what the girl meant and she disclosed that Dorey had molested her on multiple occasions over a period of about a year.

Dorey, who is employed by the Sarasota County School Board as a school psychologist, was taken into custody this morning at North Port High School. He is charged with Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
