TAMPA -- An unidentified suspect has been involved with multiple identity thefts across Tampa, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg after stealing the identity of a victim in Tampa to open a Sam's Club membership.
According to Tampa Police, he was caught on security camera on Aug. 12, 2016.
The unknown suspect was able to build up a line of credit at Best Buy in Clearwater and Belk's in Wesley Chapel and Ocala. The suspect had since obtained over $6,000 worth of goods around Tampa Bay.
According to the footage, the suspect is a black male in his late twenties to early thirties with a dark complexion and thin build.
