Troopers looking for hit-and-run driver

Spring Hill, Florida -- Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are looking for a car that hit and seriously injured a pedestrian.

Just before 9 p.m. on May 10, a vehicle was traveling northbound on Landover Boulevard, just north of Thornberry Drive, where two people were walking along the road edge. Danielle Gibbons and David Smith were walking when the car partially left the roadway, traveled onto the east shoulder and hit Smith.

Smith sustained serious injuries and is currently at Bayonet Point Hospital.

The vehicle that hit Smith is described as a dark-colored, late model car with probably heavy front right end and headlight damage.
