Man in tutu burglarizes Tampa farmers market

A crook in a tutu calls into mind the criminal side of going incognito.

Maybe he was a bad ballerina for Halloween?

A man dressed in a tutu and another man in a hooded sweatshirt broke into the Tampa Bay Farmers Market on W. Fletcher Ave, around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

"They drank a soda, ate some fruit, took some fruit and then they left," said HCSO spokesperson Crystal Nunez.

The other man's hoodie had an owl on the front.

"Someone must have seen a grown man wearing a tutu walking down the street carrying a watermelon," Nunez said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
