Tampa, Florida -- After what appears to be a domestic dispute, a man and a woman are in the hospital with severe burs.
When police and fire rescue arrived a the home on 3001 E. Ida Street they found a man in the front of the home and a woman in the back of the home, both with severe burns. Upon arrival the fire was out with no other occupants inside.
Paramedics began treating the victims on scene and then transported both to the burn center at Tampa General as trauma alerts. The 58-year-old man and the 51-woman were transported separately and are believed to be in critical condition. A third person, a 53-year-old white male, lives at the residence but escaped the home safely and was uninjured. According to investigators the two men live at the home but the woman does not.
The 53-year-old man found at the scene is not involved in any way, but is simply the roommate of the man who was burned.
Due to the suspicious nature of the incident the Arson Task Force was called out to the scene to investigate and at this point the incident appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.
