The Orange County Sheriff's Office says a woman's body has been found in a wooded area in the search for a missing teenager.
Deputies say the body is near the Polk and Osceola County lines. It has not been determined if the body is in fact 16-year-old Alexandria Chery.
Authorities were searching an area near intersection of South Lake Wilson Road and Jahna Mine Road Friday morning when they received a report from landscapers about discovering a decomposed body in a wooded area near ChampionsGate Reunion.
The body will be taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.
Alexandria's mother last saw the teen on Monday morning.
Deputies said they are also naming Sanel SaintSimon, who was arrested on Wednesday on charges of lying to law enforcement, as the prime suspect in Alexandria's disappearance and say he isn't cooperating with the investigation.
SaintSimon is accused of lying to law enforcement about where he was when Alexandria disappeared on Monday, lying to them about cleaning the apartment and bloody areas with bleach and lying to them about the car he had used on Monday during the time Alexandria went missing.
Her uncle told CBS affiliate WKMG in Orlando that SaintSimon has had trouble with the teen before.
SaintSimon remains at Orange County jail on $7,650 bond.
