Woman holds up bank with bomb note

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A middle-aged woman was able to rob a St. Pete Bank of America branch on Monday with a note which claimed she had a bomb.

The robbery occurred at 12:15 p.m. November 7, when the woman walked into the branch and handed the bank teller a note. St. Pete Police reported that the woman allegedly made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was seen leaving the bank in a tan or cream-colored minivan which had its license plate removed. Police said it may be a Mazda minivan.

The vehicle was last seen headed eastbound on 62nd Avenue North. The suspect is described as a white woman and between 50-60 years in age.
