Young family of 4 loses home to fire in Polk County

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire around 9 PM on Oct. 15, 2016, on 9th St. and Snively in Eloise, according to a PCFR Facebook post.

When the crew arrived, around half of the home was already in flames. Four people occupied the home, including a 25-year-old male, a 24-year-old female, a 5-year-old male, and a 2-year-old female. There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Division of State Fire Marshal will be furthering the investigation.

Red Cross assisted the family further in providing shelter, clothes, and food.
