Miramar - A Broward kindergarten teacher with a history of being rough with children was pulled from her classroom last week and re-assigned to an administrative position pending the results of an internal investigation.
Alexandra Kralick was removed from A.C. Perry Elementary School in Miramar after she allegedly grabbed one her students by the arm, according to The Miami Herald.
This was not the first time Kralick, 50, was accused of being rough with students.
According to Broward School District records, in 1998 Kralick was accused of pushing a first grader's head into a counter while she was a teacher at Dania Elementary. The force of the blow caused a laceration and bruise on the child's head.
Kralick was suspended without pay. Four years later Kralick was accused of pushing a first grade girl to the sidewalk while she was a teacher at Bethune Elementary in Hollywood. A year later she was accused of slapping a boy in the head and kicking a girl to the ground in two separate incidents. Kralick was suspended for 20 days.
In 2006 the state's Board of Education placed Kralick on a two year probation, fined her $100 and ordered her to undergo a psychological evaluation. On completing her probation and evaluation she was allowed to return to the classroom.
The Broward Teacher's Union, which is representing Kralik, said a complete investigation into the latest accusations is underway and would not comment any further on the situation.
