Clearwater, Florida -- A man who uses a fake beard as part of his disguise to rob banks is still on the run.

10 Connects first featured the bank robber in July of 2008, about three weeks after he held up two banks -- Fifth Third Bank located at 1698 Missouri Avenue, Clearwater, and the Wachovia Bank at 2515 West Bay Drive in Belleair Bluffs.

In the Fifth Third holdup, the bank robber picked up a teller and threw her over the bank counter in an effort to steal cash faster.

The robbery happened on June 26th, 2008, around 11:21 in the morning.

Bank security cameras captured what happened as the unknown suspect lifted the 50-year-old Fifth Third employee off the ground and over the counter.

In the Wachovia robbery, June 24, the suspect was armed with a handgun. When the teller handed over cash, she included a dye pack which exploded once the suspect got outside the bank. The bank recovered its money.

Authorities say the man responsible has a thin, muscular build with dark skin. He's between 5'6"-5'7" tall, weighing an estimated 140-150 pounds.

Detective Nicholas Bedy with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said the suspect may be getting more violent, "Dealing with such a violent person [like] that, there is potential for him to commit more harm or physically harm somebody to a greater extent."

Anyone with information on the case can call Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
