Tampa, Florida -- Sources say the FBI went to Hillsborough Fire Rescue last month to tell Chief Bill Nesmith it was investigating one of his paramedics on possible child pornography charges out of the country.

This comes on the heels of another paramedic who was arrested on child pornography charges in May.

From Fire Station 17 to headquarters, it seems like everyone at Hillsborough County Fire Rescue wants to close the door about fire medic Adam Dinofsky.  Dinofsky was arrested in May on five counts of child pornography and two drug charges.

Last month when we reported other problems in the department, Fire Rescue Spokesman Ray Yeakley things like that give the department a black mark, but he wouldn't talk about Dinofsky, who was quietly allowed to resign in June and is awaiting trial. Also, no one would talk about another firefighter now being investigated by the FBI.

While the charges filed against Dinofsky occurred while he was off the job, sources say the FBI is asking the Hillsborough County IT department to provide web sites visited by another paramedic while he was on the job. The investigation also centers on child pornography.

That adds to the list of problems we have uncovered in the past year at Hillsborough Fire rescue including:  employees going to adult web site on the job; seven involved in a prank that went bad and could lead to criminal charges; a firefighter arrested for exposing himself to two women and accused of exposing himself to a female firefighter; the child pornography arrest; and now the FBI investigation.

While most people we talked to say all those incidents make them think less of the organization, Yeakley told us last time Chief Bill Nesmith should get any heat for them. Yeakley says Nesmith has been active when a problem comes to light to make sure it or anything similar doesn't happen again.

The FBI doesn't comment on these matters, and we could not get a comment from Dinofsky, who is out on bond and scheduled to go to trial in January.
