Sarasota, Florida - Detectives say two Sarasota spa workers were arrested Friday after an undercover officer, using marked bills and wearing a wire, was offered sex during a massage service.
After learning that the "East Studio" at 1602 N. East Avenue in Sarasota may be involved in prostitution, an officer went undercover into the spa and asked for a massage at 1 p.m. Friday.
According to the arrest report, once the officer inside was the business, Sang Kum Petrella offered him a 30 minute massage for $60. He gave Petrella $60 in marked bills and was led to a private room with a massage table.
Li Sik Park entered the private room wearing what the arrest report describes as a "small pink dress." Here, she made gestures and arranged another price with the officer that would include sex acts. Once she made the gesture and the officer handed her the money, he called in the take down officers to enter the building and make the arrests.
Li Sik Park was arrested for prostitution, and Sang Kum Petrella was arrested for "Deriving Support from the Proceeds of Prostitution."
