Brooksville, Florida - Hernando County Sheriff's deputies say a woman admitted to stealing $12,665 from the Walgreens where she worked.
Elizabeth Branson, 58, admitted to investigators she'd stolen an array of items from the store, which is on the 13,000 block of Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.
Since starting work there in October of 2007, Branson stole merchandise "approximately three times a week for the past two years," according to the offense report.
The store's loss prevention officer gave deputies six DVDs containing surveillance video of some of the alleged thefts.
Branson told deputies she would "load up a cart full of whatever she needed to support her household," including diapers, health and beauty products, cleaning products, pet food and over-the-counter medicines, and leave the store without paying.
She also told deputies she "has a problem and was relieved that she was finally caught," according to reports.
Branson was arrested on felony charges, including grand theft and scheme to defraud.
A search of the Hernando County Jail's website shows no prior arrests for Branson.
