WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- In the desperate search for 8-year-old Relisha Rudd, police remain interested in getting clear answers from Relisha's mother and her boyfriend.
In the days after Relisha Rudd was last seen alive, Shamika Young and her boyfriend, Antonio Wheeler, posted pictures to Facebook featuring wads of money, Bruce Leshan reports. The photos included Young and Wheeler holding big rolls of $50 bills, and photos of Air Jordan sneakers bought for Relisha's three brothers.
All this while the family was living in the homeless shelter.
Police believe Young let Kahlil Tatum take Relisha, and she was last seen alive with him weeks before police say he killed his wife and then himself.
A massive week long search of Kenilworth Park in Northeast Washington failed to find Relisha's body. A Grand Jury is looking into whether Young may have obstructed justice by misleading police.
WUSA9 has also learned that Amtrak Police are reviewing surveillance video from March 1 forward at Union Station in an attempt to determine if someone put Relisha on a train to a destination still unknown.
The FBI is still offering a $25,000 reward for Relisha's return. The agency reminds says it sometimes recovers children years later.
