(CBS News) -- The very first officially licensed Angry Birds Land in the world is opening up in Tampere, Finland.

The theme park was officially opened on Thursday, June 7 by Alexander Stubb, the Finnish minister for Foreign trade. For the public the doors will open on Friday, June 8.

There are 12 rides and attractions, an adventure course, a shop, snack and food stands in the area.

The parks, which will be built in partnership with Finnish playground equipment maker Lappset, will feature Angry Birds-inspired swings, sandpits, climbing towers, slides and outdoor arcade games.

More like adventure playgrounds than Disney's massive theme parks, they will mostly be in cities and towns or attached to existing large theme parks.

The multimillion-euro investment is a collaboration between Särkänniemi, one of the Finland's most popular theme park, and the mobile game's Finnish developer, Rovio Entertainment.

Rovio has spawned a series of spin-offs including Angry Birds toys and clothing. A Hollywood movie is also said to be in the pipeline.
