A Transportation Security Administration officer was killed Friday at Los Angeles International Airport, in the first death in the line of duty since the agency was created a decade ago.

Los Angeles, CA - TSA screeners around the country are wearing black bands on their badges in honor of Gerardo Hernandez, the TSA officer killed on duty in Los Angeles on Friday.
We're also learning more this morning about the suspect in that shooting, 23-year-old Paul Ciancia.
Ciancia went to school in Florida. He attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando between December 2009 and 2011.
Ciancia has been charged with murdering a federal officer and committing violence at an international airport.
He was shot four times at the airport and is currently under sedation and 24-hour armed guard.
